7-Mile is hot!!!!!
For those of you who fish 7-Mile, it is on fire right now. Good reports for today with several people catching full limits of 1 1/4 - 2 lb fish on the bank. Crappie seem to spawning on the cypress "knees" and being caught 12-18" deep with Midsouth black/clear jigs. Also smoke/clear jigs with silver sparkle seems to be doing very well.
Fish the outside bend on the left bank about 1 mile down the lake. Call me if you have questions at 501-231-3374.
This lake is probably the best, overlooked lake in the state for catching BIG crappie.
General - Good time to get your boat out there!!!!!!

Midsouth man, Are you fishin East of hwy?
-
I think some people call it Burnt Cane.
-
If it is burnt cane, when that place gets right it is awesome. Plan to get checked too.
-
LOL, Thanks for the report Man i tell ya i feel like my dog when i say "Lets Go Fishing". She gets excited and jumps around don't know which way to go. Sorta how I feel with all these reports coming in. Gotta Love It. Think i might try Burnt Cane. Thanks

burnt cane?
I thought burnt cane was called 9-mile not 7-mile. The only lake I know called 7 mile is in woodruff county near gregory. Is this the lake you are talking about the fish biting so well.

The lake is north of DesArc of hwy.33 then onto I believe is 289 or 286? I'm not real good on directions.
Buck - Fishing the "right" side of the road.
-
Burnt Cane is east of Forrest City and south of Widener. A St. Francis oxbow. Yes it is known as 9 mile.

Someone tell me how to get there. I want to go Friday.
-
Reckon they'd be any of them there basses (I know that's a cuss word here) in there??
-
Burnt Cane is way high and muddy enough to see coon tracks. Went Sunday and caught a couple. OK for those guys after green carp.
-
Went today after work. Got almost 2 hours of fishing and caught 6. All where 1lb males.
-
I still want someone to tell me how to get to 7 mile so I can go there Friday.
-
directions
To get to 7-Mile, take hwy 33 south out of Augusta towards Gregory. Turn West on hwy 262 before you get to Gregory. Go approx. 4 miles and you will cross the lake. You can load your boat on either side of the road. Get on Google maps or Google Earth for a detailed map. One of these guys on here can tell you which side of the road has been the better fishing. I have not fished it in years.

Don't see a hwy 262. I see 260, and looks like is crosses a lake, but it's not 4 miles off of 33.
-
262 is about 5mi farther south. Its on the west side of 33
-
Here, I made a map to get there from Little Rock. It goes through Augusta.
Google map
Note that its a bit quicker coming from Little Rock to just go I-40 and just get off at exit 202 and then north on AR-33.

Midsouth man, was that a morning report from your partners?
-
So is there a place to launch a boat off a trailer or do you need to do the flatbottom in the back of the truck route?
