I've seen people mention both places at times but can't remember the names.
Looks like I'm gonna be in the market for 4 pretty soon. Think my boat has a weak starting batt (Group 24) and I've decided to drag out the Champion and get it set up and I'm gonna need 2 Group 31s and at least a 29 starter.
Anybody got any info on either joint or happen to know what they get for batts and what brands they might have?

I just picked up a couple of Trojans group 31s this year from the Battery warehouse on Brooks road. I can pick you a couple of them up for a SMALL handling charge. They are new not any scratch and dent stuff.
That a computer virus or a condom? LOL Think I'l be needing some new batteries as well. Cranking battery doesn't hold a charge that long
Y'all ever used Optima Batteries? I'm still in the wal-mart zone after all these years and I sem to get 2 seasons out of those wally world batteries....
Hook One has a Wally World trolling battery that lasted 7 years. I used it for a few years and gave it to him and he used it some more. Keep them topped of regularly with distilled water and re-charge within 24 hours of use and they will last a long time.

Major the proper way to do it is to check your water once a month. I will try to explain it.......A battery is filled with acid ( electrolite) and then water is put in on top of the acid. The water is there to keep the acid from evaporating. Its a sacrificial thing...you loose water to keep from loseing acid. That is why it is so important to keep a check. If you wait so long that you have lost all the water....then you have probably also lost some acid. Then you fill it back up with water....and so you see after you have done this several times ....well your acid gets weaker and weaker. End result...weak battery...shortened battery life. WB, I have a group 27 on the starter and 2 group 31's on the TM. I really think the heavy group 27's would be ok on the TM. Those 31's in my boat are HEAVY I think they weigh 75lbs each.

Yes those 31s are very heavy !!!!
If you have a onboard charger better check that water after the 5th charge.
