Well, I went and visited my boat at lunch.

I can't be sure, but I think it started wagging it's Yamaha when it saw me coming.

Turns out I had a bearing that went out on the right side and the left was a little loose too. I checked them earlier this year and they seemed fine then, but Jerry told me the bearing was completely gone on the right side but it was making no noise. I told him maybe all the bearings fell out so there was nothing to make any noise.

Anyway, walked up on the boat and the right tire is off. Wanted to check some fishing boxes I had left out and was worried they'd gotten rained on, but Jerry must have put it in the shed over the weekend....or maybe it was his garage when he got done fishing Saturday. Anyway, I got to looking and all my rods were gone.....but his were in there instead. I'm beginning to think I'll be wade fishing at Enid. I figure, either he's not done with it yet, or Jerry pulled the wheel so I couldn't come and pick it up today. Bwahahahaha!

That dood's slick, I tell ya.

No matter though, cause what he don't know is my GPS will take me right back to where he was catching 'em. Ah Ha! I'll have the last laugh.

WB, you know jerry don't know how to turn a gps on.......and yeah he is pretty slick...tell him to put that wheel back on, and bring it to pstones garage with some 20 dollar berings and we will have her ready to go by nightfall.....Seriously....

You let Jerry have your boat much longer and you might be filing an insurance claim. You know what happened to his boat dontcha?

He messed up and turned the "fish finder" on the front on. He doesn't know it's a combo unit. Hehehehe.

If I'd have known it was the bearings, I'd have done it myself, but like Feelay mentioned, he needs the boat rebuilding money, so I'm contributing to a good cause I guess.

BTW, he's about got it back together. Got the trailer reworked, the motor back together, the carpet installed on all lids, the seats redone and he's just fighting now with the glass guy. Give him another 6 months and he'll be dangerous again.

WB are you sure this isn't an elaborate ruse by some of the other FJ contestants to keep you out of contention? Maybe someone is paying your mechanic to take his time.:rolleyes:

Well it's good to know SOMEBODY was paying attention.

Akshually, I did check the bearings. The old take your foot and rock the tire highly technical method. Just didn't get any indication of a problem. Oh well. Nothing a couple of hundred won't fix.

I mean, come on.....it's not like I drove through a whole wad of folks telling me my tire was low and figuring that once it warmed up the pressure would go up only to have a blow out 30 miles down the road with no spare, not jack and no tire tool, or anything like that.

I had to call Torch when I couldn't find an inline filter o my motor to clean out. Check down near the tank this evening to see if one's there

Mine is under the cowling on the 115 4-stroke Suzuki.

Knucle head. It's on the Port side of your motor under the cowling. Port is left and the cowling is the black thingy on top of your motor that says Mercury with the latch in the back. Most are about the size of a PC mouse or smaller.
