It has been awhile since I have been, so decided to try out the old river lake over at Wright tomorrow. Never laid eyes on the place, so this might be interesting! I will post some pictures tomorrow!

Hey freind. It has been a while since you showed your mug on here.
Good Luck
BTW
I bought that book about men and women being from different planets for my wife. She wouldn't read it. She thinks I am the one that needs re-configuring. Can you imagine that??!!

Maybe get her a skillett or a new mop next time.;)
You going to Hensley? Hope you have a good trip.
Is that a pay ramp? I have never been there, but have heard alot of folks talking at the baitshop about Hensley. Looks like you go down 256 from England and turn on Maynard rd, then old river rd? Is that correct?
Hensley indeed. I come up from Pine Bluff, cross the Ar River bridge, then the first left. Go up past the road going to Lock and Dam #5, then about 200 yrds or so is Archer Rd. Turn left and immediately over the levee is the Old River (which I assume is Hensley Lake). This is my first venture to that lake and even with all the wind today, we scrapped out 7 crappie and 3 bream. Pictures coming soon
I have spent many hours on Hensley. Hope you had the place to yourself;)
Glad you managed to catch afew. I may have to hit it next week when I'm in PB visiting family.
glad you were able to get out and catch a few.
Good pictures.
Correct. It was 2 bucks. Missed that one. Thanks!
i've always heard the old river was a private lake. So where do you put in at?

The old river is a private lake and is in scott. unless you manage to get in the club or know someone with land, your out. He was actually talking about Hensley Landing in Wright. Coming in on 256 from England, go over the second levee, go past the country store, faded yellow sign on your right at the next gravel rd, go down the road and go over the levee, hug the right side of the road while coming up the levee and slow down, lake is right on the other side.
