Which end is the livewell on:confused:
I hear ya Rugs.
Got mine out this weekend also. I've got moles that have taken over. So I came up with a new little treat for their trails. I know it won't kill the damn things but at least it will flatten out the trails. Sorry picture is blurry.
Can I borrow that? I have moles here so bad that one of the hills was the size of Mt. Hood!! And the valleys the dogs dig are as wide as the Grand Canyon:mad:
I just made a mountain out of a mole hill:D
But seriously, it is a rough 2 hrs. Hard on the mower and my ankles.
Well in all honesty, I would have to say that your more than welcome to borrow it Rugs. But by the time you drove down here, and hauled it back, mowed and mashed them mole hills, and brought it back you would probably be way ahead time wise doing it your way. But as I said, of course your welcome to borrow it.
Dang Chris with a rig like that how long does it take you to mow your yard, 10 minutes? Tell you what I would use on your little buddies, 3 minute smoke tubes. I had one last year in our yard, took all I could from him. Finally after driving off into one of his holes with the front wheel of the riding mower and almost breaking the axle, I decided it was either him or me. I pulled out the water hose and filled each hole took him about 15 minutes and he came out of one of the holes. I knocked him in the head with a shovel and that was the end of my problems.
All you have to do is kill those grubs in your yard. That's why the moles are there -- for dinner! If I keep that stuff on the yard, no moles. :)
I've never had moles,,,until this year. CN and others, its not always grubs I've been told but high volumes of earthworms too. I don't know for sure either way, we show no sign of grubs but worms are thick.
I have determined I would rather mow than push snow.
I just pulled the blade, wheel weights and chains off and put the deck on.
Whatta pain.
There's something about mowing in shorts VS pushing snow dressed like the Michelin Man that appeals more to me.
still looks better than any snow shovel i ever seen
Agreed. I do portions of 3 acres. And Kaz, you may be right. We have tons of nightcrawlers as well as earthworms. After the 2.5 inches of rain last night they were everywhere. In Slater, MO, residents were picking them up off the sidewalks and streets at 8:30 a.m. Never had seen that before!
When I'm digging to plant flowers or garden, I see a lot of the grubs. :(
I suppose instead of borrowing Chris' rig to mash the runs down, I could ask Bob if I could use his wifes beagles to hunt them down and kill them, my dogs just dig up the runs, I never have seen them with a mole yet.
