Did I Break Manlaw?

Ok Guys, I went to BPS yesterday in Alabama. Been putting off buying myself an new 10ft Mighty Lite Wally so I just decided to go in and get the thing. Well, picked it up and that price tag hurt but I swallowed it and headed for checkout. On the way, I passed by the clearance poles. The longest and only jig pole in the rack was a Wally. IT WAS A FUCHSIA TIPPED 10ft MS. CRAPPIE jig pole. I picked it up and thought to myself, I can't.
I then looked at the price ticket. $19.95 and I thought..I CAN...AND I DID. I may take an oil based paint marker and color the tip, then again I might not because at that price I'm sure anyone would understand. Is this too bad of a man law violation? I guess I've made myself pretty easy to spot on the water. Go easy on me but go ahead and make me laugh. That's why I like this forum. Tell you one thing. I bet I catch some good crappie with it.

Jigum, I would cover that fuchsia with SOMETHING, cause someone is going to see you with that pole and you won't have the opportunity to explain yourself. That could do a lot of damage in case you run into them in the future. Just saying,,,,I would play it safe.;)

Yep, got some oil based paint markers. Gonna at least get that tip.

Very Funny...... What about jewelry? One of my favorite color jigs is pink n black so I may be able to work that a little bit.

Fishtaco, I don't know what to say. You have officially erased any doubts about using this rod. I only have one but you bought the whole clearance rack. Thank U Man......

Dont be silly. There is no such thing as man law. However, you have broken several sections and subsections of the mancode though. Your fine is $10 for the rod and $416 for telling on yourself for no good reason. Taco's fine is $40 for the rods and $16,724 for telling on himself. It goes up with a second offense. Especially when the second offense just has no good reason for it.

Can I just pay $5 and paint the tip or is that just for the purchase? I will post a pic of the first fish I catch with it. Update coming this weekend.

That's what I was going to advise.... make sure the jewelry pulls it all together.

I put about 4 inches of masking tape about 10 inches down from the tip of my rods. Then I spray a coat of auto primer let dry, then follow by a coat of fluorescent orange "hunter orange." I do this on all of my crappie and catfish rods. I think it helps me when I'm reaching in the cooler, to see strikes out of the corner of my eye. Do this and you will earn a few man points back even though you'll always know its pink underneath.
