no, no, no leterally looking for something bug like. Not so much jig like, Leaning towards a hopper or cricket fly pattern. But thanks anyways guys.
why not a yellow jacket, hornet or a honeybee?
Already tied some bees up and hackle tail jigs. Bees are a go to, but looking for something else to throw at them.
I'd tie some little bugger jigs.
check out the jig pics in the sticky man"
I like a black wooly bugger tied on a 1/80th jig and a red, size 10 sickle hook. I use rabbit zonker fur for the tail . Just cut off a small clump (just hair) and tie in , add black chenille with a palmered black grizzly hackle . I fish it about 18" under a weighted small pear shape float . It seems everything loves them . I've caught bluegills , crappie, and some monster size golden shiners on them . Real buggy looking . Could add some rubber legs if you want, but not needed . gillchaser
Picture of wooly booger . sorry for the fuzzy pic . gillchaser
Havent tied one but a light brown body with a couple white rubber legs on both sides will slay 'em. I have a box full of those that are soft plastic and have been a go to bait for a long time. I did do one similar with a burnt orange/yellow verigated chenile that looks like it should work. Didnt have the legs so I put a little yellow marabou tail on it. Its not real buggy lookin but it would be with some legs.
I'll try that gillchaser but with marabou tail. Thanks guys for the help. Still looking at a hopper or cricket pattern too.
