I just asked from a safety stand point. A lot of the guys fishing these tourneys don't have enough boat to be out there with high W winds. I don't like being out there myself.
All I can say is I hope they are wrong. Sometimes I wonder if they really even have a clue. The predictions on the wind always seem to be skewed! Conflicting reports from different sites seem to be the norm. Weather underground shows winds 7-9 miles per hour. Guess we will all find out!! :D
Yeah Nessa I know but Grenada with a hard west wind is DANGEROUS.

yeh, I can think of at least one time that we have been on Grenada that it was pretty bad. It is definately not conducive to catching any fish. You are right though, winds that high with that kind of gust can be dangerous especially for smaller boats.Quote:

I was at grenada a couple years ago and the same thing had 4ft rollers at greysport got flooded at greysport. Be careful guys.
mr jim, you are right.......graysport is absolutely the worst landing in a west wind. over the years, i have seen several boats swamped, and know of several drownings........please everyone, be careful....a fishing trip is not worth it!Quote:

Seems like I remember ME saying the weather will be a major factor on this tournament date. I'm not throwing stones here now, but a tournament in March should be on the first few days because the wind will always pick up the first week of March.
We could try the last Saturday of March, but we would have to be very lucky even on that date to not have high wind. I think if it needs to be canceled, do it now so those that booked motels and cabins can try to cancel and get there money back, just saying.
Maj. and myself will support what ever decision is made. It is only going to prolong some but whooping for a few...lol

I just canceled my Cabin at Hugh White today and it cost me $68 to do so. I just found out this weekend that a young lady friend of mine has a cabin on Grenada and it is available this weekend. So why rent when you can stay for free!!!Quote:
