Nice catch...congrats....how bout a few details?
Nice catch WTG:)
WE used jigs they hit alot of colors but black&white and red&white were best.We ran our jigs 10 to 15 feet in 20 feet of water.Alot of people i talk to say there isnt any fish in this lake.I have been cathing crappie for years in this lake.Close to home right in Jonesboro.
Looks like some Craighead Forrest Crappie ;)
I hear that they are biting in there. Nothing huge that comes out, but you can catch a bunch of the 12 inchers.
I seen a guy last year that caught 4 that were 16 inches or better. My best is 15 inches.
You need to give CEB a PM and see if he will fish with you up there.
I know that he has been fishing Craighead with good luck. Do some slow trolling (spider rigging) about 12 feet deep in there. You will do good. My grandpaw used to pull monsters out of there. I am coming to Jonesboro this weekend and will be out there on Sat.
I will be there or Houge on sat.Not sure yet.CEB wasnt there sunday morning was he,i dont know him but there was one other person trolling? If i fish there i will be there right at sun up.
