Water temp was bump'n 41 by the end of the day. Started out about 39ish. There were 2 black males and 1 BIG black sow down in there somewhere.Quote:

You guys' mediocre results so far is what kept me at home yesterday working around the house. I KNEW that I should have gone fishing instead!
Dang it - tween Wiskers and BBD postin pictures and talkin bout limits, I'm getin a bit of dejavu! Couple years ago, bout this time, I started seein these same kind of posts. EVERYBODY limiting out and bigguns too! Then my son and I show up last week of March and it's like a record cold front that shut the fishin off for about 5 days! I'm comin down 1st week of April, hope history don't repeat itself!
I've got the fever BADDDD I'll be going soon.
Great catch. I hope that they will be hitting as good after the 14th of April. My brother is going to work at Big Bear Marina this year and I will be staying with him for awhile. Maybe we can meet for lunch at Moores. Great burgers.

I'll be in a 19 ft Carolina Skiff with FL id. I am planning on arriving the second sunday of April and spend a couple of weeks with my brother. He is suppose to work at Big Bear Marina after he completes the next thee weeks of chemo.

Do you camp at the end of barge island rd. we have a cluhouse off of kirkwood close to bee spring. been on the lake for over 30 years and love chasing crappie.
