Lots of drawers and things that are not in the pic for storing materials..
Hey, ship I searched and realy didn't come up with anything. But thanks for the help any way. I'll get a pic of my tying bench/desk up later. Others got anything to show off?
I will wait until my " magnum man cave " is erected and ready to roar.
Right now my tying area looks like it was designed by somebody named " tornado "
Here is from a search . Be sure and scroll down and click on LedHeads place.

Mine is just my computer desk.I do have a filing cabinet next to it for STUFF.
Computer is to the right of my station and there is more you can't see under the table and a couple other places, like by duck is under the desk where my computer is. Also I paint near the kitchen so none of my powder paint is in here at all. So one more of the cabinets like in here is in the hall with just powder paint.

Thanks,
Yeah and I seem to just keep adding one more and one more. Actually I need another one now as we speak. I have 2 under the table I am tying at and the others you see plus a few of the like tubs with lids with stuff all over. I don't know what I am going to do next or where I can put it.
I do know that I have too much, but this addiction is like this.

ok yall. we know if they stop making jig tying stuff all together who to call. i think skip has enough stuff to supply all of crappie.com ..just a question skip do you ever buy new stuff? and how do you know where everything is. My setup is an eight of that size and i still lost my main bobbin for 4 days once....hahah
Now that I have figured out what the deal was with my pic process, I can show you this and anything else, I'm very happy to say. Both these items are available thru Cabela's and both are Oak. The wife gave me the desk for Christmas. I like the secretary style for being able to put it out of sight in just a moment. The drawers are fine for me for now, and have 5 rod holders on each side. Handy when rigging the nite before. The plastic boxes in the slots hold more than I thought they would. No garage means no man space with heat so this is it for now. Desk comes unfinished so I have a little project when the weather improves. Thanx for lookin.
i like the rod holder thing it looks nice...you got a nice setup..
skeetbum,
That new desk really looks good and looks like you know how to use it.
The Hoosier Cupboard caught my eye as I have one next to my tying area also.
I think the Hoosier Cupboards add class to our tying areas, don't you?

Hey skeet Is that your APRON on the light ? lol:)
Like your setup, I just set up on the table for right now May get something later on like your desk ? what color is that apron anyway , HA;)
it says kiss the cook on it also...
Skip did you leave anything for us guys to buy I think you have all of cabals and Barlows in your house you have a nice setup skip and I'm glad to see that you have such a wonderful tying area it looks about like mine we will try to post the picture later on.
here is my tying area but not all of it is in that picture there is many more cabinets full of goodies.http://i593.photobucket.com/albums/t...sh/bobt001.jpg[/IMG]
Harley, I'm glad my wife doesn't read this or y'all would be havin a serious conversation. That's her picaninny apron that she's had for eons. And it's hanging on the breaker box door, Thank You. And if you ever ate at my table you'd be bringin me an apron next time cuz this fat boy can cook!!
PBug, it is handy but the pup (50 lbs) is wired on 440 and it isn't smart to leave good rods that close to a door when she get a wild hair and starts doin laps.
1Perchjerker, Thanks for the kudo's but the hoosier is the wife's. Only way I could put fishin stuff is to tie her up, and that won't last forever. But it does make it a bit classier. She likes all the old stuff, hell- she's got me!!
Just a tip. The lite isn't an expensive one but I put a bulb from Ott Lite company in it(about $8 at Hobby Lobby) and it works great for me. About half the cost of an Ott and it's got a magnifier that the ott doesn't.
this fat boy likes to eat lol...the messier the better
Hey Skeet,You know It is real nice of your wife to let you wear her Pecaninny ? apron
some times when she's not using it , yes thats REAL NICE , lol,Ha
have a great day, I still like the color,HA
And will do with the bringin you an apron, but it won't be as perty as that one is ,
Started framing the Man Cave today. Normally would have this done in a day. But have to pace myself. Gonna end up with a 8' x 13' room for rod building , jig and fly tying , casting lead and of course painting.
Will also be used to BS about fishin ,politics and to complain about just about everything.
Harley, if ya talk to me real nice I might even model it for everyone.......NAAAAHH!!!!
This is my tying area. It is in my garage.

Kip tails, marabou, flashabou, hackle etc is stored in the drawers. Tying tools are on the desk light.

Other tying materials are in these cabinets.

Works for me.

Started moving equipment into the new tying area today. All framing work and electrical work are done. Now just a simple matter of setting every thing up how I want it..
Wife was helping me sort thru some stuff today. I had to laugh when she said " You know if you haven't used it in 20 years you don't need it. " I have to admit I are a packrat.
Will post pix when setup complete.
That's a good one.My response is "Oh,thank you.I've been looking for that for a long, long time, lol.Still they go off shaking thier heads, but have a smile while doing it.
Hays47 if you need some place to store some of them 20+ year old unused materials let me know I have plenty of room here at my place....
Ship, that's the desk I was looking for when the Wife bought me my secretary. Works well I'm sure. Good set up.
Yeah guys the sad part is I have to add storage or rearrange stuff all the time because I am always buying new stuff. I now have every inch of the under side on that tow tables I sit in front of filled with cabinets and other kind of storage boxes. I have a disease and that is clear and why I warn everyone that starts that this addiction can get really bad.
Yes I pretty much know where everything is except when I rearrange it for a few days after that I look in the wrong place until I get use to it again.
I order probably several times a month and lots of it new things or adding to the back up stuff. I get carried away at times and just have several things that colors may be just s very little different and that is because every place I buy stuff I feel the need to see what their color looks like on my favorite colors. Kind of silly huh? I bet I have 3 or 4 shades of blue that are very close because I was looking for the right shade, not to mention several shades of dark blue. Pinks, FL Yellow, Chart are some of the problems I have, LOL!
I can't tell you how many things I have not even used or trying to put on the market just because I have not go to it yet.
For everyone, don't do what I do, LOL! Your wife may not understand ad now you all know why it's a hobby to me and I don't make more money than just to buy more stuff.
You wouldn't believe how many dry fly capes and hackle and saddles are in one of my drawers. It's just crazy and I am probably about to buy a Jungle cock cape for just under $200. I just feel I need the nails for flies and if I can find a way to include them in jigs I probably will, but no one will buy any because of the cost. The nails sell for about $1.00 each and put on on two sides and then the rest of the jig or fly added on makes for a costly fly or jig.
Happy buying guys,
