What is your favorite 2 lb. test monofilament line?
Yo Zuri
I think I have stren on my shimano symetre 1000, and a daiwa spinmatic x 5 1/2 foot rod. that is one sweet combination, and the rod is perfect for 2 lb.
I second the Yo-Zuri Hybrid. I've landed a 6lb. largemouth on that stuff in 2lb. test.

Stren, when I use 2 pound, which is rarely.
I have 2 lb. Trilene XL on a couple of HT micromaster rods that have landed 6 lb smallies.
i don't think i've ever used 2lb test before.i kind of like the power pro i use,but i spose i would be interested in trying something different on one of my reels for a change.if anything i want something decently strong that won't cut easily if something say like a pickerel bites and gets hooked.i know when i used to use mono pickerel would cut the line very easily.i don't go out of my way to go for them teethy critters, but they are in most lakes and rivers here in nj.
yeppers!I see they have 5 and 8 pound in the power pro.im gonna have to try those out.lighter line = probably more sensative, but still strong being power pro :)
I NEVER go under 4lb mono.... just a personal thing... I've seen too many nice bream and crappie break off. I like 4lb mono, suffix tritanium.
Used 2# trilene XL for years till switching to braid. Now use 4# fireline or 5# power pro. Tuff stuff.
Vicious panfish line for me. Good sensativity. Good abrasion resistance. Have landed bass up to 4+ pounds on it with no failure. I usually run 4# but when in very clear shallow water I will run the 2#.
Trilene XL. Every year, the local Wally-World has a bunch of it in the clearance bin, and I stock up!
