me and dad
we got to put in a few hours of fishing this evening after dad got off of work. the wind was suppose to be 5-10 but as you know, double it when your on the lake. we had 11 crappie that pushed 2lb and better, also one bass that went 5lb 11oz. not the best day to be fishing but sure was nice to be out with dad
-
those are some nice ones. still on lake pine bluff?
-
Nice catch:), and what better way to spend some time with Dad?
-
Ditto on what smoothbore said. I'd give a lot to be able to fish with my dad. Cherish every moment.
-
that's great. and yes, fish with him every chance you get.

-
was it the one that runs into the harbor?
-
Nice catch. Good to see some slabs after all this weather we have had.
-
nice ones...orange and chartruse sounds kinda like a cajun cricket...have you tried the baby crawdad bgs...i've had good bit of sucess with that color from time to time
-
Those are real nice
Enjoy time with your dad, worth tons
-
Good lookin catch, guys. way to go.
-
it was a orange body with chart tail in a slab slayr, not saying the cajun cricket would'nt have done the job. i like using the color crawdad in the spring it works well.

Those are some hogs now! Congratulations to both of you. You should be rewarded for braving the elements! Thanks for the post and the pics.:)

It was a great fishing trip fellows !!! Nothing better that fishing with your son...that's the ultimate. Once again he proved that he can show his Dad a trick or two. David had four fillies in the stable before I caught the first one! Out of the 11 Crappie I only had FOUR!!! In a way it was depressin'........But I did catch the big largemouth and the bream. I kept trying different colors, depths, jig styles, ect but David stuck with a couple of colors and Wore Me Out! He was grabbing up rods with Crappie on them before I could even see the rod tip move. I'll be ready for you next time David!!! If I had been in my own boat with my own rods it would have been a different story!!!! The weatherman was calling for 50% rain today but I don't see a cloud in the sky at the moment.....I'm wondering what I am doing sitting here instead of fishing? Must be a trick, I figure the rain is just waiting on me to launch my boat.....think I'll stay home and watch the race.
