COYOTE
those were fantastic looking jigs I'm sure you'll catch a ton of fish.
Good job, those look really nice. Gonna catch fish on those.
I have just one suggestion--ADD WATER!
Super job!
Glad to here you got into tying and welcome to the board. I'm jealous... it took me 15 years of cussing before I ever could tie anything that nice, thankfully my ugly ones caught fish too. The members here will help you hone your tying, even though it looks like you already have the skills. :) Excellent work!
1 note... The couple at the top with the chenille tails - May want to melt just the end tip of the tail or the chenille can unravel on you after a few bites. ;) You may have already done it, but can't tell for sure......
thanks guys for the encouragement. this site is what got me to doing it. I have been making spinner baits for the fisherman around here for 15yrs. I fished for bass all my life, My Dad got interested in fishing so I would take him crappie fishing because he couldn't hold out long casting for bass. I know have 5,000$ worth of bass equipment with about a inch of dust on it. I have been thinking about selling it and buying crappie gear with the money. I'M HOOKED ON THE CRAPPIE! and all my Dads fault. I really enjoy the time I spend with him on the lake, Even if we don't get a bite it's still a good day!
oh I was going to post one of my new spinner baits, it has double the flash and vibration of any I have made.
Very nice jigs. The spinner bait is the "Bomb".PM me.My buddies are all into the bass circuit and would love a couple of them.
Nice work thin the bou alittle watch the Oal. over all length color combos look great!
flatfish, good point about the length of the bou. what is the best marabou to use I got some 1/4oz strung blood quills, and select plumes. i really don't care for the plumes myself.
hope you got plenty of room in the ol freezer
you will need it with those tyes
Your using the best in Blood Quill just pull it further towards the head and shorten the tail lenght trim the excess off.
Very Nice Jigs...But I love the spinnerbait !!!...:):)
MaryLou~~
For your first ones they are pretty good. I saw a few where you took and trimmed the tail. Some of your marabou is way too long. Personally I like the natural uncut tail. It makes a better presentation in the water.
Good start.
Really good work, folks will be buggin you for your bugs. Spinnerbait looks professional.
personally I like the uncut to Ship so I going to take flatfish's advice and pull the quill up higher toward the jig head and cut, tye. thanks guys for the great comments.
I see why your first ties look good, you tie your spinnerbait skirts. Nice looking jigs and a really nice spinnerbait!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second welcome to the boards.
You can fish for crappie and bass if you want too, they hang out in the same places.
