Just go ahead and get ya a trollin plate for yo motor and be done with it. My boat wouldnt get below 2.5 till I got mine , now I have to give her a little gas to get to 1.5- 1.8. Really worth it and dont have to worry about loosin it.
This is the one I have -Trol-A-Matic Trolling Plate. It takes the worry out of having to raise and lower it every time. EBAY has em right now .As well as Cabellas-http://www.cabelas.com/p-0000915012282a.shtml
I would try a 30" first. I use a 24" when by myself and 18" with I have a second person onboard with my 90hp but my target is 1.9.
Get it from BPS so you can keep taking the back until you get the speed you want. I had to do this a couple of times and they never questioned it.
thanks, yikess, i think that's what i may try.
was steering. Sometimes it would take awhile to get turned but it did take me from 3.2 down to about 1.3 or so on the Nitro
3, 5 gallon buckets on the bay boat puts me at 2.1 or 2.2

Could that be IS on the back? someone figure out how to blow this up, so's we can get a better look see.
If the sock is what you want....go to bass pro internet site under there clearance items .....the one i bought last spring was like $90 then and they have on clearance for like $45 dollars now....saw it on there yesterday
I have good luck with the sea anchors. One of them is adjustable. Can open it more to adjust the "drag". Have never lost one yet and have been using 'em about 5 years. Use one on the 20' Tracker but use them both on the 28' TriToon.
Working on it now Feelay. I'll have a blowup here shortly:D
