I just finished installing my new HiTeks.
Some more pics...I am gonna like these rod holders.
A few more shots, Lol.
I like that alot. I need to go take some pics of my setup this weekend for show and tell. Their not as nice as what you have but they are darn steady
Poor thing. Room for 16 rods and the boy can't afford nothing but a brim fishing pole to hang on 'em. I'll call Tim Geitner for ya Insert and see if I can get a little Tarp money thrown your way.
But the holders looks great. Now clean the boat up and for Pete's sake, let's whip that shop into shape while you're at it. That's just an OSHA violation looking for a place to happen right there.
Wannabe...
You are going to love them!!! Best rod holder on the market. Let us know how you like them
Yep...I got to clean the shop up one of these days, LOL. I had to put a 6 and a half ft. spinning rod in that holder because the shop is junked up and not enough room to put a 12 ft. crappie pole in it, Lol. And I do have to get some more long poles. I will get there one of these days. I got to go kinda slow...my credit card is not as big as Maj's is, Lol. :D Gonna cut some holes in the floor tommorrow sometime maybe and put two more seat bases up front. Anyway...just having fun and enjoying retirement. :)
Is that a Hallicrafters or a Hammarlund?:D
They look nice, even in the back ground. I had a non-working national and a guy came along and wanted it because it was in an old add with a Johnson transmitter. He wanted to duplicate the add pic and already had the transmitter. I still have a HQ129X....somewhere.
Sorry to jack the thread. Nice rod holders also.
Oh yeh I got a old Drake somewhere with a Q-Multiplier.
Yep....I think those rod holders are the cats meow! :) They are really sturdy and well made. Scott does a good job buiding those.
You're about set up with everything a guy would need. New Hiteks and some oooooooold electronics. I used the 129x when I was younger. It would drift more that a crappie fisherman with a motor failure:eek:
Again, nice stuff.
Good Lookin Fishin Machine--wish I Had A Shop Like Yours[looks Great]
Dang,G-3. Great looking rod holders, not to mention the boat and the shop.;)
now all you need is some water and feeshes
Nice looking set up. Im still toyign around the idea of cutting 2 more holes in my G3. I got the tite lock brace and it works great, but with it up there I cant get to my storage box and thats kind of a pain. Post some pics of it when you can please as I would like to see it. I got the same boat except mine is a 2002 model. Im jsut worried there want be enough braceing for them, thats my reason for holding off
GREAT!!!! You have convinced me now, I may try and do it this week. How far apart did you do them? Im going to go out and measure my deck today w/ and w/out the tite lock up there.
Wannabe sent me the measurements of the base spacing on his boat....I think his boat is similar to yours...mine is a G3 Eagle 185...I had to put my bases a little closer together than Wannabees because my deck is a little narrower where the bases are located. Just take both of your seats and get up front and figure out where they need to be...thats what I did.
yea mine is a Pro 165 and its 54 3/8 wide from carpet corner to carpet corner.
If you had put them on a V-Lock you could remove them when not in use.
hey G-3, which g-3 boat is that?
G-3 That's what I thought I just bought a Eagle 176 with a 60 hp
I have a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke on mine.
And scoot it will.
you still likely them new rod holders G?
Sure am...HiTeks are great rod holders.
