Haven't seen this discussed, but when viewing DI, what forward speed is optimum for the best image? Is it similar to the forward speed of SI?

The SI device is what also produces your Down Image-DI so-- I would assume getting the side imaging adjusted correctly, is what is also needed for DI to be proper adjustment.
Yep same conditions.
The optimum speed is 3 to 4 mph.
I lost my virginity compromising. Can't remember when or which time either.
I Think It Was With A Flasher--:):)

Just wanted to state for the record that if any of you guys need DIRT on Wannabe I got it!! Lets just say his electrical skills leave something to be desired and he can't fling much more than just POO :)~

kinda looks like prop wash
I see some of the same "scatter" when I'm dealing with prop wash or other turbulent waters, like we have on the Mississippi (first two pics). The second of those two pics shows be pulling up behind a barge, which really gets the water churned up. Little bit of noise? Yep. Still a very useful image? You bet!
Otherwise, I get wonderful clarity, like the third and fourth pics.
That line that runs across at 8ft. with the 38 and 58 is that the thermocline and temp above and below?
Water temperature graph. This can be toggled on or off.
Jason can u explain that better like what it does to a dumb ass like me
It's a graph of surface water temperature (y axis) as a function of time (x axis). I don't recall the length of time that is displayed on the graph, but I think it's supposed to correlate with the displayed sonar history. Greg or Joby can correct me if I'm wrong about that.
Thanks Jason i sure thought it was the thermocline
This is what the thermocline looks like....in 2D and SI.
Are u talking about the red line at 45ft.? Cant see at all on si.
On the si is that it just to left of line of boat?
