Got it.... site was a little slow. Files size is 3.7mb so its a small file.

It will be a few hours before I can download the new software and load it to my unit. Does the update implement waypoint management?
Just down loaded to my PC will have to get HB's setup to load from PC. But they had upgrades for both my units, the 1197cSI and 777c2 :D :D
Now I just need to find time and weather to get out and try them.
Once I registered my 997, they came up!!!!! What do I need now to get it to working? A sim card? what size? The file for the 997 is 2.7 meg
Works. New color palettes!:) Looked at DI in simulator mode. Neat. Be a while before I can try this stuff out. Hard water here.

BE sure to reset your unit to factory defaults before installing firmware upgrade. Just a reminder.
If you did not purchase the PC connection kit then yes you will a SD card. I use the PC cable and load my units with my laptop on my work bench, I have a small 12 VDC power supply to power the units.Quote:

Yep, everything looking good so far but , no way to try GPS out except maybe taking unit for a walk on frozen lake to see if it can/will find its own waypoints-Here's hoping...........................:eek:

From any view press the MENU button twice to access the tabbed Main Menu System then press the RIGHT cursor key until the Setup tab is selected. Press the DOWN cursor until Restore Defaults is highlighted on the Setup menu. Use the RIGHT 4-way cursor control key to initiate restoring defaults. The Confirm dialog box will appear. To reset the defaults, press the RIGHT Cursor key once more. To cancel Restore Defaults, press the Left Cursor key.
Still no 797 update. :( Did have one for my 787 though. I'm giving HB a grade of 50% today.

My 997 is at the factory for a small repair. I could have almost guessed the release date.
Hopefully they will do the update while they are fixing it. Got it from Cabelas last summer and the darn thing would not hold the SD card in. I used it until freeze up.

The new green/yellow color pallette with a black background and switchfire "on" is a killer.. love the 3 window screen too..
Is there a download for my 987 i dont find it, i am wanting DI.
Did you guys see the thermoline and the temp above and below it? Don't know how it would know this but that will be sweet.
