Congrats on the 1197.
You must have a extremely understanding wife.:) I'd have to sleep in the garage if I bought one!
No worries my wife works 3rd shift :D
Do you fish Cedar Creek?? I would guess so living in Belgreen. I guess what I'm after is a fishing partner, I fish alone 99% of the time, gets alittle boring if know what I mean. If interested PM me some contact information or I can do the same. I live in Guin about 30 miles south of you. Maybe we can hook up nobody has fished from the back of my new boat yet, it's still cherry :D
When I opened up crappie.com main forum page this morning the first this I saw was:

1197c SI came today!!

??????????????????????:D:D
Getting more concerned with the depth of snow up here then any grass growing for a while:D:D:D:D
I have had a 797 a couple of years and Just got a 1197 and I don't know why I waited.
But what really nice is when you learn some of the trick that these units will do. Check out these.
The first two pictures are of a fishing trip ( I was trolling). You can see my complete movements. You can also show waypoints.
The other is a 600 foot long recording. Using Sview program on my computer I can pan around and zoom and it will tell me the depths and I can create waypoints.

Neat stuff ain't it. You guys keep it up and you gonna have more stuff on your boats than I do.
good deal
please tell what the bottom pic is
The center of the picture is the center of the boat, the left is darker because I had my motor trimmed down and it blocked some of the sonar.
But that is about 600 feet of the bottom of lake I traveled over. The random spots are stumps. If you had the original file of mine you can move your mouse over the picture and it will give the depth and coordinates. you can make waypoints off it and upload them back onto your SI units.
I think I'm going to do a bigger scan and waypoint everystump on the pic and see how it works with I'm out there trolling and can see all the stumps.
