Seemed about the same to me.
Fiished for a little over an hour saturday, looked good and was clear with little if any trash in the water.
Just needs to warm up a bit for us to get out.

Went out little after lunch and fished till 4pm, caught a real nice 15", 2 12" and 3 10" and an 8 lb catfish and another 5 pound cat. All on minnows, had to really layer up.
Gonna try tomorrow with the girls with us.
Hope the winds stay down.

The specks' were all caught in 5 to 8 ft of water, catfish on the bottom and all in the Kissimmee River.

We just catch the fire out of them here in Florida, I just love it. As cold as it is, the fish were moving pretty good. We had a good time.
I guess I am fishing in the river between the lakes.

So the river running between Hatchinenha and Kissimmee or the River running between Cypress and Kissimee (7 palms area)?
The river right at Cmp Mack, worked hard today and several small ones, 1 12" speck and a hugh catfish. Fish are deep and had lockjaw today
Try again toomorrow as it is going to be so cold over the weekend.

Thats the old river, but it is also a canal... if that makes sense. It was dug out by the army corp of engineers (I believe) to its deeper depth.
If they are in the canals, we always had better luck either at the bridge just down from camp mack... fishing the pilons of the bridge or running over to the cypress canal and fishing the area kinda towards the palm trees at the end as the deep water transitions into the shallow.
All this being said, perhaps we will try that deep water in the canals come Saturday. I will firm up fishing plans with my buddy.
We will be here and may be oat fishing as well. Moving real slow and deeper depth will be the try today, seems to be lots of fish we are marking on the locator.
Some folks out yesterday afternoon but it was so slow. Have an errand to do and then we will go out. Seems to be warming up quick.
If you see our old boat, a 16 ft Lund with a 60 hp, brown in color as it is a duck boat. May be as many as 4 of us. Would like to learn to get to the Cypress spot as I have heard it is good.
