Name the Scent Poll.

OK, the suggestions are in. I have a list of names. Quite a long list. Many, many good suggestions.

Please pick the one you think is best. Actually, pick the one that would be accepted in the market the best. Choose the name that would make the scent most successful.

Don't forget, the more successful this product, the more stuff I can give away on the site. I like to think that everything I do is to make the site better. Please realize, I make the sponsors pay me partially in product which I give away on the site. I plan to do the same in 2010. Anyway, I digress. Lets pick the best darn name possible for our new scent.

It's a long list, take your time, read them all. You can vote for more than one name, but try to limit your choices to no more than 3 votes.

Does anyone know for sure if "Jig Juice" is currently being used by any companies out there. I've been told that Grizzly might be using it, but I don't see anything on their website.

And ScentSation is out as there is an active trademark on that name.

I have not checked them all yet.

Eagle Claw already makes Crappie Gravy....

Grizzly does already have the Jig Juice!!! Its in the catalog but in the middle of updating our website and it has not made it on there yet.

Slab Sauce...say it all... Ed, ill see lou from grizzly in 3 weeks and ill talk to him about jig juice...

You can do multiple votes. I set it up that way on purpose, for this reason. We'll probably find over time that more names have been taken as well.

Slab's Commotion lotion... It’s hilarious! I would buy it just because the name is catchy and hilarious. It targets slabs... Cp says it looks like lotion... and from all the post I have read it must cause a commotion when your jig hits the water.

I've made an executive decision based on your poll results.

The scent will all be sold under the name Crappie.com Scents and the two formulas I have now will be sold as:

Formula # 9a - Liquid Minnow (light yellow in color)
Formula # 7 - Slab Sauce (red or light red/orange in color)

I've left the poll open till the end of the year just because I said I would, but I think this is a good decision. Let me know if you agree.

Yep, I got the thick stuff. I just checked, everything that get's shipped from this point on is the thick stuff. It's been a lot of trial and error. Hopefully it's thick enough, and hopefully not too thick.

Sounds good to me...the thin stuff worked great so I know the thicker stuff will be even better. Besides tring this out on jigs...I even put some on live bait....thats right, I put it on minnows and I put it on mealworms.....sure makes a big difference as I was using two rods rigged just alike , the only difference was one of them had scent on it. The rod with the scent out fished the one without 5 to one.

Dang don't know how I missed this thread. I have got to try this stuff out. If it is as thick and sticky as you say it is then I was thinking 'Crappie Syrup". But then somebody would be trying it on their filets and that probably wouldn't go well:eek:. Or maybe it would:rolleyes:.
