Well Ed Here Go's My Results Of Using Your Product... I Used The Yellow Bottle Today And On A Scale Of 1-10 I Give It A 7 . Did I Catch Fish Yes, My Limit Of 10 Keepers. 11-12 Inches Plus Maybe 8 More Crappie And A Bunch Of Bluegill Which I Don't Normally Catch????? In Two And Half Hours About My Normal Time.. The Reason For Only A Seven , I Would Like To See It Stay On The Lure Longer Not Really Bad Though. It Is Heavy And Will Sink In A Glob If You Make One , I Did Just To See If It Did Sink Or Float. All In All Pretty Good Scent And I'd Buy It. Enough Said. Will Try The Orange Wednesday... Thanks Again Ed

I was using the lighter colored jig scent when I caught this Claytor Lake, VA citation...16'' 2.1 lbs..

ED, it does work..I especially like the way it sticks to plastic baits....Holds up better than any I have used..

Hey Guys I Do Believe That Ed/ Slab Has A Real Winner In This Scent. He Better Get His Daughter Involved .

I just got my scent and plan on trying it soon as the weather clears up. I think you got something going here Ed.

Tried both flavors by injecting into tubes, results were good despite poor conditions. Warm weather, warm water and East wind last four days. Caught many fish and had 14 over 10". Used two poles with one jig on each. 8 to 14' deep. I also noticed catchin more gills and bass than I normally do. I believe the scents have merit and should prove beneficial especially during tough bite situations. I would however like it to be more sticky and/or thicker. Might have to keep it in a warm pocket on cold days, not a problem unless ya sit on it I'd suppose. Will continue to experiment. A good excuse to go fishin huh.

Excellent feedback. I'm very happy to hear about similar results as I've seen. The two scents use two different baitfish oils so I'm not surprised that they attract a variety of fish. My experience is that they work very similar. I noticed no difference between the two.

I hear you about making the scent thicker. I know how to accomplish that, and plan to do so. I chose the current thickness because I felt it needed to flow, and it needed to leave a scent trail. A thicker scent might not dissolve enough, but I think a little thicker would be good. The next formula will be thicker.

I just received my Jig Scent today, tomorrow, hopefully, I will test it out on some Crappie!

Received mine yesterday and headed out this morning to give it a go. Sorry to say that it didn't produce any fish for me today. I was using solid body plastics and the sauce just didn't hold well on them. One cast and it was gone. Didn't use tubes or hair jigs. I'll give it another try sunday.

scent trail not necessary , why, because i want the fish to hold on to the bait/tube a mila second longer than without the scent. HOLDING ON TO THE BAIT IS THE KEY TO ANY GOOD SCENT. I DON'T CAST, I VERTICIAL JIG , MAY BE DIFFERENT FOR SOMEONE ELSE. COMMENTS IS WHAT SLAB IS LOOKING FOR..

got the box today so i opened it and left right away for the lake...the bite was slow but i did get 4 on the #7 and 5 on the #9 and only fished a lil over a hour...but its a lil thin for what i like...but going back out in the morning and going to try it on hair jigs...but as far as a scent i think its dead on just needs to be almost a paste...almost like hair gel and for the bottle i wouldnt change the caps...they fit great inside a tube and makes feeling a tube easy...will give more results tomorrow

My next batch will be a little thicker. I've made some trial stuff that was just too thick and would not come out of the bottle. I have to find that right combination, but I think I may have it. I may show some results on the site via a photo. I'll show the scent fluidness by taking a picture of it running down a board or something.

WELL WENT OUT AGAIN THIS MORNING AND CAUGHT MY USUAL LIMIT OF 10 KEEPERS THAT i PUT BACK ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHERS. USED THE ORANGE COLOR SCENT AND NO DIFFERENCE. JUST AS GOOD .. I GUESS ED / SLAB WILL RETIRE AFTER HE MAKES IT STIFFER. WAY TO GO SLAB

i know you have prob spent more then you wanted on bottles already but was thinking i would throw this out there...if you got it around a hair gel paste like how bout putting it in a jar...i carry kid oral syringe's in my tackle box and that would be the ticket to putting it inside of the tube(get them for free for walgreens,just ask)but you would still be able to get it out to rub on stuff...almost like smelly jelly but i like your scent better...oh by the way i was fishing today at 9ft right next to a guy using the same color and i got my 25 limit and he left with 8...so that really say's somthing...

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Did I say awesome! Sounds like I have the right scent. I just have to work on the consistency. Thicker it is. I am working on a thicker formula, I should have it ready in two weeks or so. It'll be the same scent, just thicker, and hopefully stickier as well. I love everyone's feedback. Thanks everyone. I recieved my scents and hat and as soon a s i get a chance I'm gonna try cooking it into my plastics and see how it works. I will have to wait tell the lake ices up to fish it but maybe I can make up some plastics and send them to a few guys who get out alot further south to give them a try for me to see if the added scent helps.

Let me know if you are able to mix it in with the plastics. Very curious. I'm sure you can, but I'm not sure how much you'll be able to get in there without affecting it's texture.

alright i ran out of the #9 with very good results and gave the #7 to another crappie.com member....once you get that stuff real nice and thick let me know and ill order a shirt/bottle package....

I noticed something strange the other day. After leaving both bottles in a compartment in the boat overnight the white scent gelled up and wouldn't squeeze out of bottle but the red flowed as usual. Temps were in the 20's that night. I tried to warm up the white in my pocket for a few hours but it still wouldn't flow. Seems like it was clogged up. Used the red scent rest of the day and caught over 60 fish.

Caught 60 fish, wow. What do you normally catch? Do you feel that the scent helped?

20 degrees overnight, mind if I ask, where were you?

Also, can you unclog it with a stick or something? Was the cap left off when it clogged, maybe the end dried out a little. Just curious, and wanting to make the product better.

60 was an overall guess. Only kept 29 over 10". It was a good day for Crab Orchard and almost ideal conditions.

No, cap was still on. I could squeeze bottle and see the product move up to the tip but it stops there, like it has a chunk clogging it up. Didn't have time to poke anything down it, action too fast and other bottle worked fine.

I know the scent works. Now I only use it when the bite slows down or when they start strikin short. It does improve catch ratio under these conditions but I see no need to "waste" it when the bite is good (two poles w/ two fish on).

I'll see if I can find out what is clogging it up and get back at ya.

The white looks like old Elmer's glue, the red is normal consistency. Both bottles were next to each other outside in boat storage compartment, air temp is 36 degrees.

Thanks gf, good info. I have new caps that I am starting to use that will seal better. I don't think those red top caps seal very well and the tip dries out.

Left Mine Out In The Boat Last Night And It Was 11 Degrees This Morning And I Like The Thickness Of The Scent Is Now Paste?? Don't Know What It Take To Get This Thickness In The Process??????

ed you need to hurry up and put a price on these babys...i think i can thickin it up how it like but i just need to get some more...oh yeah by the way...the sauger was hittin the hair jigs with your scent over live minnows 5 to 1...but now im out so its not doing me no good...nice test will be large mouth...my 5yo son fav. thing to do

No worries, I have modification to the recipe that'll thicken it up nice. I just have to get home and make some. I'm in AZ at an uncles funeral right now. New and thicker slab sauce coming Sunday.

And it's catching fish 5 to 1 over minnows, how awesome ckj! Great to hear.

Ed when you get it a little thicker I think I will try some to see how it does on these La. crappie. I only use jigs. Use tubes pumped up with crappie nibbles and solid bodies with nibbles on the hook which is kinda messy. If I could put a little of the scent on the solid bodies that would be great. I will be looking at post when the thicker formula is ready I will get a check in the mail......

two nasty to go to the lake, but I got the scents couple days ago so had to try it out, it has been slow up at the pond, made about a dozen cast nothing, well dabbed a bit of slab juce on the ole feather jig and second cast bam small crappie, couple more cast and same results, went up again this am and the rain was comming down, sat in truck and tied on the worst jig I ever made, blue and gold color, never ever caught a fish on that color, 3 cast crappie, next cast small bass, then about 4 perch this stuff works in the pond and no doubt in the lake, but I will let y'all know later in the comming up week just how good, thanks oh and the hat is real nice too.

i planned on taking it and adding some flour to it to thickin it up...thinking the scent is so strong the flour shouldnt really mess with the scent...make it into a paste...i have some old pill bottles i was gonna put it into once i did so...but first i gotta buy some more...lol

The scent is strong. I guarantee that there is no other scent on the market with the same amount of fishy smell in it. Essentially I've made fish bait, fish emulsification, fish oil, as thick and stable as I could make it, diluting it as little as scientifically possible. I am very happy to hear these results. It confirms everything I've been trying to do for quite a while. I love it! Thanks guys.

Now the thing is, will the new thicker formula work the same way. New formula coming tomorrow, time permitting. ttyl

I had a horrible day on the lake Saturday in the cold. Strong fronts went through late week here and knocked the water temps down to 38 and the lake has begun to freeze in places. This after 50 degree water just a week or so ago. The bite was slow, but almost all the fish we did manage came immediately after applying the scent. I think formula 9 outfished formula 7 by a few. Can't wait to try it out in more stable conditions. Cold is good, but not all at once. I was also wondering about thickening it up to allow it to stay in a tube a little better. At it's current consistency, it squeezes out with one fish or a few casts. Sounds like everyone was thinking the same thing. The scent itself seems to make a difference though.

I'm heading out Friday for the first time and will be experimenting with both scents. I'll report back with the results.

went friday was having a bad day, no fish, decided to leave, well dropped the jigs over the side and was trolling slowly back to the ramp, got a bite, small fish, long story short. I decided to try the new crappie goo I got couple weeks ago first drop 11 in crappie, using double jig set up scent on one jig only, caught fish on that jig and nothing on the other pole or top jig on the scent pole, now I have decided to do a test put the goo on the other two jigs on the left hand pole and bam fish on nice crappie, put that pole up and concentrated on the one pole scent on and no scent, caught 11 keeper crappie in one hour and a lot of shorts, it worked for me and well water temp was 45 clear and light wind, lots of sun the fish were 30 feet deep and some 14 to 18ft. deep most hit on the slow rise, I am happy and I think it worked for me, I believe it made the not want to bite fish come have a look see and that was there demise. thanks slab

Verdict is still out for me on the scents, but can't really base any conclusion from the day we had. Tried them both for the first time on Friday and the fishing was really tough. Talked to several guys on the lake that were having a hard time getting the fish to bite.

I tried the orange, while the buddy fishing with me applied the yellow. We only managed to catch 15 fish total, (8) crappie, (6) stripe and (1) drum.

My buddy only managed to catch two of the fish. The rest came off my side of the boat. As for the positives, about half the fish I caught were on a jig with the scent applied. The others were caught with a minnow. The stripe really seemed to like it!

Hopefully put them both to the test again soon.
