Who all is actually going feshin this weekend?
I'll be feshin personally
Fishin for me.
Me too.
a huntin we will go, a huntin we will go
WHERE IS THAT WASCALLY WABBIT?
Ill prob. run down to sardis and see how it will take to catch a limit.
I was planning on hunting, but I think I'll just follow Mr. Jim instead.
Wannabe...
I'll be fishin'. Wannabe you can follow Mr. Jim, but that don't mean you gonna be able to catch a fish!
Good point Feelay. If you couldn't do it, no reason to believe I could I s'pose.
Then again, I could just follow Sat and Torch and save the gas.
Sigh, so many C.Cers to follow, so little time.
Wannabe...
Hold on there buckaroo... I wernt followin' nobody! I started off fishin' a different spot than Jim. When I got to where he was fishin', he was pullin' in his last feesh. I limited out a few hours later...After the frenzy bite was over! I wish you would come up and fish with us this weekend, be just like dejavu puttin' a whuppin on ya agin!:D Heck I'll even let ya tie off to my boat so's we fishin the same spots!;)
you have all these CCer's to follow and still can't catch a fesh
i may join you, feelay and mr. jim!
You get that motor fixed? Sardis is no place to be with a stubborn motor, wind can kick up and you want to be able to hightail it out of there.
Let Wannabe TIE OFF behind your boat but not let him see what your doing to catch fish but see just how he does. Course it'd wear yo TM down pulling him and that big waterhead he has. hehe
mine was acting up abit Saturday. When I'd floor it coming out of the hole and start trimming it out, it was revving up and shaking abit. No idea what was up with that
Stator...Compression......I don't think one is related to the other there Duck. Hmmm.
Translation from above for those that don't parle vous feelay:
I wasn't catchin' squat till I called Mr. Jim to see where he was fishing. By the time I got there, he was leaving so it took me all day to figure it out even though Mr. Jim was good enough to draw and X on the water for me. Made me so nervous I lost my keys.
Your welcome.
Wannabe...
Hehehehe, at's right DD, just ignore it, I'm sure it'll work itself out before long. Bwahahahahaha. I'm gonna start calling you TT for Tow Truck, cause you're just one maintenance schedule missed from needing one at all times.
Shuttering....as in loosing power or vibrating as in the cylinders rattling against the top of the head?
If you're loosing power kind of like a hicup. Might want to pull the prop and check your hub. Don't think you've got a press in on that motor, but if so, it could be slipping and will need to be re-pressed.
Wannabe...
Didn't lose my keys, they were in the truck in plain view!:p And about the rest...Well, sumpin like that.:o Jeepster took until almost 5pm to figure it out though.:D
Youall can follow me around all you want that part is free its the tec neek and little secrets is whats gonnacost ya, and then you have to find me.
not just a little but not rocking the boat shaking either. I was gonna take the prop off and see if I saw anything wrong with that area this evening
Look here TT, you start looking that motor over tonight and don't stop until you know what's wrong. If it goes pop, you're gonna be bumming rides from me for a long time. I don't think I could take it. Come to think of it, I don't think you could neither.
Here's a hint - outboards aren't supposed to rock or shake.
Wannabe...
Looks like you guys are gonna have it all by yo selfs this weekend. Torch is offficially not gonna be goin fishin till after duck season is over, And I got loaded up with jobs today which will take the rest of this week and most of next week to get through with. One way to look at it is there will be more money to spend on fishin after the rush at these huntin camps is over.
Sounds almost like the prop blowing out DD. Mine'll do that if I turn very
sharp with it trimmed, especially if theres pretty good waves. If not
hammering it so hard or trimming as quick fixes it, it's a good bet.
You running aluminum prop?
I was gonna take a gander at it last night BUT IT'S FRIGIN DARK when I get off now. HATE this time of year cause it's dark now at 5:30. When I was giving it a good bit of gas to get out of the whole, it did sound kinda like the prop was coming out of the water and revving up, the shaking scared me though, it was getting it pretty good.
I was pretty worried but what got me is as long as I didn't floor it and try and trim it up, it was running great.
Sounds an awful lot like you've got a bad hub on your prop. Fairly cheap fix. The Prop Shop will fix you up in no time if that's the case.
Wannabe...
I'm not going far at all though. Head up to 43 and troll around the welfare hole or ease over to another spot where I don;t have to go far. Mainly just testing it out and see if it was just a fluke that it happened. I MAY have hit something while I was at Chotard when we headed up there. I did check the prop when we pulled the boat out for slack and there wasn't any slack it it when I tugged on it though
If you've spun the prop, it'd be a bad time to realize it when you're at 43 needing to run back to Pelahatchie.
I'm just saying.
No, I'm just screaming.
Wannabe...
at 43, don't ya? LOL, 2 of them actually. I can use the TM to make it back to the launch in 15 minutes
Don, you know WB is gonna want to wack yo peepee if'n you do not listen to him
PP whacker. Think he even made a SPECIAL Paddle for PP whacking only. He said he's been practicing on Bigger alot to get his technique down pat
and 8-10 MPH winds YUCK. Their out of the East so that limits where I can go to get out of them now. Heck, anyone tried the Marina lately? Know they come in there in the winter on a couple of Boat Docks with deep holes. Anyone know if they are moving in there yet? Least it's outta the wind
If you go fishing this weekend without checking out that prop and motor, I'm not gonna talk to you until Wednesday. B'lee dat.
Wannabe...
want to fish BOTH DAYS. LOL
He may even put in up the river just so he will have to run 10 miles south
Ventilation
Ventilation occurs when surface air or exhaust gasses are drawn into the propeller blades. When this happens, boat speed is lost and engine r.p.m. climbs rapidly. This can result from excessively tight cornering, a motor that is mounted very high on the transom, or by over-trimming the engine.
THIS is what happened except I had some shaking going on
