Those are wonderful jigs !!....I'm a Old Missouri Mule from way back...born not to far from Anheuser-Busch !!..:)
MaryLou~~
I really like the jig in picture 3 far left, and picture 4 far right. I would think those two are great minnow imitations. Really nice paint job on all those jigs.
What did you make those in the last pic with?
Last picture is a jig I call a SHAD-DUCK jig. These were tied on a pillhead jig.I use sparkleflash by tiewell of Australia for the flashy underbody, mallard flank feathers over that to create the shad appearance, markers for the dot and the red injured look. For the dorsal fin I used olive bucktail and one strand of gold flash for the lateral line and a little flash in the throat. Flatfish helped me tweak out this pattern from my original version. It's a "smoker" jig for sure.Never know what you'll catch with it. I live about 10 minutes from AB, LRB, havn't tried their products for awhile,though..
Jungle Jim- awesome jigs! I really like your mallard jigs too. Going to have to try to copy them
Great-looking ties Jungle Jim. Your mallard flank jigs are of particular interest to me. How do you have your materials secured behind the jig heads? It looks like something other than thread to me.
Very,very nice JIGS!!!!!
Very nice jigs I like the hot pink one in the gray one in picture 4
Yeah maann - those are very tight tyes
I like them all, the wooly bugger look is cool. That shad is.... well it looks like a SHAD!!! I need to try again with the mallard, makes a very good scale pattern, but have always had fits getting it all to look as nice and neat as that.
;)those are excellent you did a great job
Very good job....those really look great!
As always Jim...you tie some real show stoppers for sure. I like that name SHAD-DUCK. That is as original as the tie man. I hope your upcoming fishing trip goes well for you and this weather settles down some so you won't need extra anchors and bail buckets. Don't let that old Texan out do you either...if he gets too far ahead dip his jigs in the boat fuel...lol good luck to the both of you.....brim
I love them JJJ I gatta learn to do the hackle now :)

Ya build a mean jig JJJ:D
Anyone can build a nice jig.The key ingredient is quality tying materials which there is plenty of nowadays.Lots of practice and imagination helps as well.
