Can anyone tell me where I can catch some big bream in Northern alabama?
i dont know much about upper alabamae but if you were in middle and lower alabama i could tell you some places.
I don't have a problem going other places. Where do you have in mind?
Are you fishing from a boat? I've heard that the goose pond area of guntersville is a great area for bass, and I always find bass and bream close together. IMHO
Thanks. I know exactly where that is. But no I don't have a boat. Know where I could get cheap aluminum boats that would hold 2?
Craigslist
I grew up in Winston County and there are a ton of ponds around there that we hooked some great gills in when I was younger. Old stip pit ponds, etc. Lots of farm ponds too that were easy to get access to (all we had to do was ask and leave a few fish cleaned for the owner when we left).
:) Thank Dave, I will definitely check into it!
Float tubes are great for fishing ponds, and they're cheap! They run in the $60-$350 range. They only hold one, but have your buddy get one, too.
Here are some Bass Pro tubes:

if you ever get down to east central al try west point lake and lake harding
You can catch big Bream just about anywhere in Alabama, you've just got to find them!
I like to catch them on the rip rap of the upper side of dams and causeways, there's always snails, crawfish, and minnows in the rip rap for them to feed on.
Thanks for the info.
I definitely will have to get my money back to where I need it to be afeter this holiday season has left me a lil short.
I will definitely try the rip raps on the upper side of the dams to catch Bid Bream.
