Extra nice.
Thanks Skeetbum and I like the colors too. Purple with either Chart or Yellow have been getting more and more popular. That is because it catches fish. The first ones I ever tied were regular jigs that was LSU colors because a couple guys had a bet between Ark. & LSU game. Since then lots of other ways to use Purple have come to the front in way more than just one state for sure.

great jig Skip nice colors
If I was a fish I would eat it just to kill it if nothing else. Is really close to the school colors for my kids too.

I was only thinking of a two toned tail but I like your three split WAY better. I can't wait to get this unpacking done from our move to get back tying but a few other things have come up that are going to delay it but winter hasn't really hit yet.
Thanks buddy I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep very nice. Like the shade of purple, too.
Skip very nice work were do you get your jig heads or do you pour your own
Skip, very nice looking jig. Nice clean crisp paint job. I have a question for you if you don't mind answering. How do you get your black eyes so clean looking on those jigs?
I use a drill bit that has a flat back end. If I use vinyl then I sometimes don't put an over coat, but if I do I use the clear vinyl and if I use some Acrylic then I put a coat of Sally Henson's Hard as Nails.
One thing about this though, if I am painting over Chart or Fl Yellow even using the Acrylic I use the Clear Vinyl because the nail polish discolors the paint.

Very nice road runner. I like the willow blade too. Good for deep water.
