I talked to a couple of guides in Texas who liked willows, too. They said the leaves wouldn't bother the crappie at all unlike oaks.

I like this.... very easy... got the christmas trees behind my house..... cut and plant in a 2.5 gal bucket and add concrete...

Is that enough weight?

Thats enuff weight if you're putting them in a small pond. Otherwise you're definately gonna need more weight. A lot more weight.
