Bass Pics

The Bass are hitting double willow leaf spinner baits. Today I went out on Nimrod and had a good day. Missed 3 good ones and boated 17 keepers plus a few dinks and a Catfish. Culled out a limit of 22 lbs. Some of the Bass were in 2' water on cover and I waked the spinner just under the surface. Been a long time since I went after them Green Carp.

i did the same thing the other day. I went bass fishing on labor day & caught a few for a mess. here was my biggest of the day. I got them on double willowleaf/ white spinner, but did catch a couple on a black w/ colorado. they were on a reaction bite. the interesting thing was water temp difference. In the shade, the water temp was 78, and in the sun on rocks water temp was at 85. couldn't believe the difference. Attachment 32007

Those bass pro's cant catch em' like that. Nice mess of fish, sounds like a fun day w/ a lot of action. I absolutely LOVE chuckin a 1/2 oz war eagle tugnsten tandem willow spinner bait for bass. I keep one on one pole year round. Thx for the pics.

Since CA and Randy have come out of the closet, I will admit to keeping the non-preffered species as well. But what the heck; I was raised on bass fishing and I am working on a fish fry for about 80 people at my house next month. I ran out last year!! All is fair right now. In times like these I am reminded of fishing with my Mammy. I asked her if one was big enough one time. She said, "It is bigger than a butterbean":D

Good job guys. Thanks for paving the way for the rest of us closet bass keepers.

I loved to catch a table full of grinnel.:D They can sure stretch your string.;) Wouldn't want to have to eat one.:eek:

Why would anyone keep a BASS over 14 to 15 inches, not good to eat anyway.The same guys that get mad for me saying so are the same guys that would get upset over some idiot keeping crappie under 10 to 11 inches,just saying.

They need thinned out , eat too many Crappie. ;) I'm tired of them hitting my jigs and tear'n up my tackle. Also unhappy with the Bass boats rocking my boat when I'm jiggin. We used to feed them all to the cat. It died , wonder if it was from the Mercury?:confused:Now just give them to the nieghbors. CRAPPIE UNDER 10'' AND BASS OVER 15'' NOT THE SAME THING.

well i thought id chime in.the reason to take out bass like that is cause they do one he'' of a number on the crappie population.good job nimrod on harvesting those crappie catchers:D

I been Bass fishing alone last couple days. Caught a few more yesterday. I don't eat Green Carp, give them away.;)

Not good to eat but they make good pig feed.:D I don't know why bass fisherman think it's a sin to keep some of those no good green carp.:eek:

THere was a Bass tournament on the lake today. One of the sorry Bassaholics parked in a no parking area and half blocked the ramp.:mad: They would have been pissed if they saw that 8 lb Green Carp hung up in my gill net .:D Sure had a bunch of the Channel Cats, Flatheads, Buffalo, and a few yellow Carp. Gonna miss Crappie fishing till a pull my commercial tackle out of the lake.:(

Bring it on down here and we will see.:eek: I usually don't take pictures of trash fish, but since your last post I will take pictures of them cut their head off and throw them back. Seems like you just cost a bunch of your favorite fish's life.

Just think how good the Crappie fishing would be if there was as much attention paid to it as there is to the GREEN CARP (by the AGFC that is).
Maby one of these days they will give us equal consideration, time and money. One can only hope. Maby we should only pay the percentage equal to what is spent on Crappie for our license.:D:D
