I don't think it's possible to get out of there for less than a Benjamin.
So...what kind of goodies did ya get?!?:p
yeah Ship, what did you get? :)
I do the same thing to often in the Prattville Al store
I took the wife with me. She saw a fishing jacket she wanted ($55.00) I got a B 'n' M Wally Marshall rod ($60.00) and I had not been able to find the pencil slip floats locally, so when I saw them I bought 2 dozen ($25.00) the rest was spent in fishing mugs, fudge for the wife, rubber skirt material and #4 gold jig hooks I needed. Oh yeah, the wife and I looked at a 15' Bass tracker but decided it would have to wait until next year after we find a home on a lake to dock it.:D:D:D:D
She loved the place. We spent almost three hours walking around and looking and never did get to the top floor where they have hunting and archery. She said we'll explore that next time. She was impressed with the ladies clothing dept and the huge fishing supply area.:D
Never been to one but I'd like too!!!!!!!!!!!

It is one of those things you just gotta do at least once in your life. You could walk around in there eight hours and only see half of the store! Their fishing department is as big as any entire Walmart store I have seen in my life. They have the same size hunting department, outdoor apparell, gifts, eatery, and the aquarium I saw had at least the following......... and this is all I could rapidly count... Taking up half a side wall of the store.
7 four pound crappies
25 Bream
3 paddlefish
11 Smallmouth
10 four pound + largemouth bass
8 two pound shellcrackers
5 Black channel cats
3 Giant flathead cats
24 Giant jumbo perch
and one person (me) wishing I could cast a line in there.
So...how far is Leeds from where you live? The closest BPS to me is Memphis, TN a hundred miles away....it is one of their smaller stores but...I go there about 4 times a year ( once a quarter) Woops...its time to go again, LOL.
I used to live within walking distance of the Atlanta BP. Now that they've moved farther up I-85, and I moved out of Gwinnett County, my wallet is a little thicker.
I don't have a BPS here now but when I lived in Denver they had one and it was nice. We do have a Cabela's and it's over 130 miles from me one way but I make every couple of months now that I have been there. I made it out of there for $92 something last week though even though it was only because I was in a rush and didn't get to look around like I wanted to. The time before that it was just shy of $300. Next trip will likely be in the $300 range again as I am getting back into Salmon fishing and need to stock up on gear for it and would like another couple of rods for it. Still haven't made it upstairs at this one either.
