JJJ - this style is waaaay too easy to do and fast. Materials are 3/0 flat thread, jig, and marabou. I use crystal flash and a some red floss also. Hardest part is waiting for the jigs to dry.
I still want some. I was looking for your signature red in the tail but we have to stray a little bit sometimes. I don't like the waiting for something to dry part. What are you using for the finish and how many coats? I got a black with the red floss from my first swap,#5 and it's still one of my favorites.

I have that jig as well.... has caught me more gills than any jig I've ever made, and is still holding up well. Tried to reproduce it myself, but nothing seems to work like the original!!Quote:
