Has anyone made a Homemade Fluid Bed for painting jigs ? If so, can you please let me now how you made it.
Larry Russell has made one that is just too cool. Made the tray just over 3ft and a good inch deep. Gets 2 yard sticks and lays the unpainted jigs between them with heads exposed. Then he clamps the stick/jigs. Now for the tricky part. Has a elec. motor with a pulley hooked to a shaft about 3ft long. The clamped jig/sticks are hooked to a string at both ends. As the shaft rotates it lifts the painted jigs up slowly outa the tray. This lifting slowly keeps the paint from collecting on the jig head causing a drip spot. Then hangs them up and paints another set. Pretty cool and I'll draw ya one up if this isn't clear. <*)}}}><
Get with it Chatt, cause you lost me right after "too cool". :)
Wannabe...
I do believe that Larry paints jigs with liquid paint. The Fluid Bed is for Powder Paint.
Yes, Larry uses fluid paint. My mistake. I thot ya wanted  a 'fluid' bed. Now I'm confused to what you want. <*)}}}><
Nate.....I dip those suckers right into the powder jars....No problems at all.

cadman sent me info on how to make mine. I use paper coffee filters for the membrane. Works great!!!
I've built several of them.
I knew You was a PRO when I saw those jig'''''S Nice setup fish!
I like the bases. To make my gups i just cut lengths of Pvc into 4 inch sections and glue a paper coffee filter with rubber cement onto the bottom. When the glue is dryed I trim around it. Dlides right into my base. Cost to make the cups,,,,about 30 cents
Why even bother with painting jig's??? Never use a painted head and still have really good luck??? and luck it is.....
you know I have a friend who is a guide that only uses unpainted heads. Always catches his limited:eek::eek:
