It's Gonna Be a Good Spring
Went to Twin Creeks on Ouachita to take in the 80 degree weather one more time before the front arrives and I'm glad I did!
I caught twelve crappie and kept eight, the largest of which was a whoppin'
3 lb 4 oz / 16 1/2" by my Berkley 30 lb max digital scales. All caught in 12-15 fow about 6' deep suspended over brush. Minnows on a drop-shop tandum rig and 1/16oz weedless black/chartruse tube injected w/nibbles.

Water temps ranged from 55-60 on the bigest water around Twin Creeks.
The list is as follows:
1. 16 5/8----3lb 4oz*

5. 11"-------1lb even
6. 11"-------1lb 1oz

Three under 10" were tossed back to grow up a little and I lost a hefty slab at the boat. Next time, I'll have my net at the 'ready' before I wet the first hook!

*I think the 3lb 4oz is my personal best. I'm considering not waiting on that 17-incher. I'm gonna check the taxidermy prices tomorrrow. :D
