Well I just got back from the potholes with a average of about 20 fish a day (bass). I did catch some nice crappie too.I got a almost 4lb largemouth on top water and a couple other smaller fish on top water too.
Well I do all the time, I have been avereging about 20 pinks a day on fly from the beach and no one else can catch them. the other day i caught 32 and there was 15 other people there that caught nothing i ended up getting cused out by a few. That day I caught a pink salmon that was a half poound under the state record in messuered out to 33 inches. The commercial fishing has been really bad for the copper river delta, so I have not made much mony so far, halibut should start soon though. i hope that ever one is doing well though i should be back earlier that usual this year do to the fishing. later.
Im going for some pinks next week, and coho, and kings, most likely I will get skunked, but we will see.
got over 100 bass up here on the island, also a couple of slime rockets as bassman likes to call them.
On friday I tried the elliot bay opener, and only got a couple dogfish. On saturday i went to alder and got a few kokes and my dad got the same and a 17" bow. Today I tried elliot bay again and got a couple flounder a dog, and 3 rockfish. My dad did catch a undersize chinook, rock fish and the rest of the junk fish. Next friday Im going to Sekiu to get into some mad salmon for the BBQ.
I just got back from oregon and stopped at Silver lake on the way back up and got one black crappie and one white crappie.I also had a 6+ bass snap 14lb test like it was a king on light line.
fished the snake tonight for an hour or so. Tried the 3" sanko in watermelon.
Took a while to get used to, had to fish through the little ones to hook a couple decent ones.
If they are smallies try a 4incher, If they are largemouth try a 5inch senko it will produce much better size, but the action wont be as constant.
I got a better 20 inch long largemouth today, and it was off a bed!!!!!!
