I hope you are right, it's going to be a great game. The Cats seem to be on the right track, I hope they get started off with a great W.
It would be nice. Both programs could use a win to start the season. Kentucky to help keep the spirits up after the recent success, and Louisville to get back on track from some setbacks. I'll take Kentucky 17-16 in OT and Louisville can call it a building block for the season.
I hope you dont mind an opposite opinion.Hunter Cantwell gets some needed protection and the Cards by 3. You guys in the same boat as I am,dont know what to expect.
but will be pullin for the CATS !!!
On another note ... I don't think taking on a major in-state rival is the best way to open a season. Look at the other SEC teams .... most start play with Tech schools or "state" schools. www.secsports.com - 2008 SEC Team-by-Team Football Schedule We (UK) don't play those kind of teams until AFTER we face L'vile.
Why wouldn't it be better to start KY's season with somebody like Norfolk State, then Middle TN, THEN maybe L'vile .... more on the order of what most of the rest of the SEC teams have scheduled
... cp
Both teams would benefit from this game being later in the year. It will be later in the season next year when the game is at Commonwealth stadium. Then the first game the following year, when at Papa Johns. Not sure how long that contract lasts, but thats what L'ville wanted.
Cats Win 27-2
Thought the run game would have more of an impact, but great game for the D, also thought Hartline did exactly what he needed to do for his first time out. Louisville helped our defense look great, overall good win for the CATS!!!! Hope Kragthorpe keeps his job forever.
