bullsprig, where did these come from? what did you catch them on? how deep were they? Just a few hints, please? by the way, nice mess of fish.
Nice mess of fish Bullsprig, way to go.
WTG. Nice mess of fish for August for sure!
I see you have the Jonesboro Sun in the picture. I am in Paragould right now for a few days then got to head back to Hot Springs. Nice mess of crappie for Northeast Arkansas.
Very nice mess of fish there Bullsprig! I noticed that empty crappie nibble jar lid laying there. Nice picture!:)
Man that is a nice mess for the summer time Bullsprig. Thanks for the pictures. I would take that mess any day! :D
nice catch
Only places i fish lately are the bar pits at marked tree and Burnt cane, The crappie are around any deep cover about 10 feet deep. I have good luck with a 1/32 head and a pink/white jig tipped with a white crappie nibble. 4 or 6 pound stren on a 10 foot b/m jig pole. start down the bank and look for those laydowns and stumps just under the surface. Drop down about 10 feet and move you pole so that the line makes about a 45 degree angle and swim the jig with little action. I think keeping the line forming that angle keeps the jig dropping.watch the line because they are hitting very lightly.+The brush around the bank looks good but stay away from it. The fish are out deeper. The crappie nibbles are the best thing out there. Although i used to catch good stringers full Today if i lose my nibble I feel like I don't have any bait. having said that about 6 weeks ago a couple of pals caught a heck of a stringer full on minnows. My biggest was the size of their smallest. Of course i think it was because they found the hole where the big ones were schooled up.
Nibbles have been a big help up here since may, normally i use em off and on throughout the year and when the fish are biting good i fish without em but this year has been different if you aint got a nibble on or a jig pumped full there aint no use droppin it in the water.
