Return to the scene
Woke up this morning to find the skies overcast to mostly cloudy and I just couldn’t concentrate, knowing how the fish were where I was yesterday. No sunlight meant less heat and I just had to go. Slipped in just about 9 and was home before 12. Used the same two jigs I used yesterday and found a few players to come and say hello. The second to last pic was the player of the day that I couldn’t get to cooperate and decided to wrap my outboard before his photo op. No crackers but a few of these fought real hard, the redbreast made me think he was lots bigger. Super quiet this morning and the wildlife was all doing their thing. The owls were still sounding off as I wrapped up my rods and got ready to go. No wind to speak of and u til 10 or so, I didn’t hear many boats or their stereos. I like my music pretty loud too but not out there, different strokes I guess. Thanks for following along, it was sure a relaxing morning and here’s a few of my friends. Everyone from yesterday and today went back in the pool, maybe I’ll meet them again soon. So here’s a few pics, and I hope you get out soon…….Skeet

Jump backed hustlers! Great looking jig. You tipping that with anything?
-
MCG1, no tipping this time. That’s one of the Turtles brand jigs that we’re spoken of somewhere on the boards a while back. A slow crawl on or close to the bottom has gotten me some very nice fish, and they are holding up well so far. I also have some in brown, kinda cricket color, that I’m gonna try next time out. The other jig I’ve used is the Itty Bitty Slab Slayer in double silver rainbow on a 1/43 ball head. Must look like some of the recent hatched fry cuz everything’s eating them. Same body in blue ice got some play just before I left.

Thanks Skeet. Certainly working. Blue ice was my favorite the last few times out. Keep after them when you can.

Mighty nice of you, Skeet, to send them back to the water with their homies…lol. The redbreasted sure pretty!
