NO clue is me
but this much is certain , it was for sure a largemouth bass when I set the hook and the reel lit right up and it was almost a see you later program in a bush on the shoreline and the fight raged on and it crossed my mind it would break me off before this episode ended.
Kept thinking air time any second now , it will jump like the monster bass earlier in this episode that threw my jig ,and not break me off maybe ?
Shortly before it finally let me hold it , it even got a bit of air in it's desperate attempts to elude capture and it took my breath away knowing it was big red ear .
So how much did it weigh , no clue , how long was it , no clue , all I know factually is it is likely my best red ear sunfish to date and went back in the water body . I think it was in the 12 to 13 inch range and probably just under 2 lbs .:dono
Sure was an eye popper and a fun fight , dreams are made of sunfish like that one for sure .
KABOOM is the word :highfive

One that size will pull some drag, really nice ear. Haven't caught one that size in a few years.

That is a good one, waiting for the water temps to break 60 here, then its Gills and Ears galore.
