After the rain yesterday and last night , it was cloudy and a cool 56 degrees this afternoon.
I’d planned on going for a couple of hours after lunch , but my wife got a call for an appointment that opened up for some blood work at 3:30 .
So we got home a little before five and I took off to get in a little fishing time .
I took a longer rod than what I’d been taking , a 6’6” St Croix Premier light , paired with a Daiwa Revros 1000S , spooled with 2# P-line .
I tried soft plastics on the drop shot for a few minutes, but switched to my confidence bait of late , a size 10 spider fly .
Ended up with four , a pretty Redear , a nice Bluegill , with a mangled mouth , and two smaller gills .
