Wood working?

Was not sure where to do this thread..........

Do we have anybody who does wood work? Maybe put up some pics of your projects?

I tinker in the wood shop alot. Build custom rustic tables. Lately I have been using wood from a 100ish year old barn.

I built this from a 100 + YO barn, right down to the metal roof. I have plenty of lumber left for other stuff.

The last two...... I have one more to build. Maybe two.... The second one would be 13' long if they confirm.

Attachment 417623, I do wood turning, this vase's walls are about 5/16 thick. I also made the Murphy bed behind the vase

This is probably my 'pride and joy'. 6'8" tall 24" wide, six shelves. Stained white oak with the backing board being 1/4" birch-sheathed plywood inset into rabbit joints on the sides-top-bottom and stained to match. Shelves are partially inset into dado joints that don't reach the front of the side panels. Glue and screws for final assembly

Built this sucker 25 years ago and haven't had to tighten/adjust anything since...and it's gotten moved around the house a lot in that time.

Don't have pics (lost them somewhere) but around the same time, I built a friend a set of three book-case style DVD racks. 4' tall, shelf height and depth to fit DVDs...solid walnut with clear-coat, backing board same as I did for the bookcase.

He's still got them, and still uses them for his DVDs and Blu-Rays.

10×10 shipping timbers resawn and turned into these end tables. No screws or nails only glue and dowels. Strong enough to stand on top of. Top was planed flat by hand

The only thing I have successfully made from wood is sawdust.
