Wind was wrong!

That's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it!

Shu came to catch some fish and all I could scrape together for him was 2 Crappie, one Bluegill, and a couple gar!

The day started off with a bang. The wind was at our back, the sun shined bright under the clouds.

So I took the picture above, and little did I know at that time, we instantly caught a Crappie., a nice one at that.

Look at the two pics. The first pic we had no fish, the second pic, we had one. We had barely moved. Kinda funny.

But that great start led to an almost unrecoverable day. The wind picked up, we moved a slightly more protected area I had not fished in a while, and "SQUAT". That's what we caught was squat!

By the end of the morning, we ended up going back to nearby where we started, and after catching a couple fish we wern't after, we decide we're done. I pick up my last rod to reel it in, and the stuck weeds on it, were not weeds. The second crappie of the day was caught in the last 10 second of fishing, and kinda saved the day. The shumeister was able to have a fish samich for lunch, yay.

Thanks for coming and fishing with me Shu, it'll just get better from now on out. This was just a warm-up.

I forgot to say, this was yesterday morn. We only fished till about 10am. Was good to get out.

Ed- 2 Significant observations = 1-Why didn't you choose to take more pics = MORE fish! duh! lol
2-Can see a "pattern" in Shu's willingness to reply to Postings...HE NEEDS to be a part of the subject matter!! lol, LOL!:Rofl

The dynamic duo rides again!! Glad y’all had fun, and ya can’t beat that sunrise.

Beautiful pics. Watching the sun rise and waiting for that first rod to bend as we sip on some coffee and munch on a blueberry muffin. Catching a Crappie is just icing on the muffin. Tight Lines.
