Used Trolling motors

Luvescope is driving up the prices used tm’s. Both electric and foot control units.

Why is Livescope driving up the price of used trolling motors?

Using them to point and aim livescope at fish. It’s an awesome idea so don’t get me wrong. It’s a good use of older or non-working units.

People buying them and taking the motor off and mounting live scope transducer on bottom.....use it for turning their live scope in different directions.

I have an older motor I was going to use for this. Has anyone taken the motor off of one before? Just curious how hard it was to do.

I'm certain it can be done, but not sure why it would be necessary. I plan on mounting my transducer on the barrel at first, if no good or bracket gets broke I can use the shaft bracket. Like the idea of having a fully functional secondary TM in case I need it, also can use the cone of the motor as a bumper of sorts. If drag concerns you, could also pull the prop off and store in the boat somewhere in case it was ever needed. :twocents
