Prayers needed
Today I lost my step daddy/ fishing partner to Alzheimer’s. He has been unable to fish with me since around November. If you haven’t been around Alzheimer’s it’s a cruel disease to watch a family member go through. Please keep us in your prayers. I hope to get back to the lake where we’ve had a lot of good times before long. Thanks for the prayers.

Prayers sent! While ministering in 15 long term care facilities I often find myself spending just as much or more time in ministry to the families & caretakers as to residents. Enjoy the good memories as often as you can...

Praying for comfort for you and your family. In time it will be easier to just remember the good times spent with him. I hope you find another enjoyable fishing partner. God Bless.

Thunder, my prayers are with you. Alzheimers is a cruel disease and can be a long time coming on.

Lifting your family up in prayer Thunder. I have been a health surrogate and sharing with the caregiving for my brother-in-law since 2017. Such a terrible disease. I’ve read where there are close to 6 millions Americans suffering from dementia related diseases. One book I would highly recommend, for anyone dealing with a loved who is afflicted, is called “36-hour Day” by John Hopkins Press. It can make a huge difference in understanding, as well as the caregiving for those involved. I hope you can get back to the lake soon also. I know, as for myself, there has always been room on my boat for memories of those I have fished with in the past.
