I always take two weeks off every November. I deer hunt with my son opening weekend of our firearms season, then off to Truman Lake to Crappie fish with my Truman buds. Then home again to hunt the second weekend. This year, my son let 6 deer walk without firing a shot. He went back you work Monday so I went fishing.

Got to Truman Monday in the snow. Didn’t fish that day. It was dangit cold. Tuesday we woke up to 17 degrees but caught these.

We decided that was enough torture so we headed home.
This morning, my son and I were back in the deer woods. This guy walked in at 116 yards but my 30.06 dropped him in his tracks.Attachment 322101

You are defiantly on a roll. Good buck, fat fish, and spending time with family and friends. Doubt you can out do that.
