Thump therapy!

Well been setting around in the Ac wanting to go fishing but just haven’t been able to talk myself into it because of the heat until this evening we had some lite North wind coming thru that felt pretty good so I decided I would give it a try if nothing else I would ride around and scan for a bit. Put in around 6 water temps 90.1 headed out to my first spot to check and to my surprise it was still loaded up with fish I have been catching fish off that spot since I first found it back in April! hopefully it may hold fish year round ! First fish in the boat by 6:12 no monsters but had 4 that were close to 10” and 12 that were 8 3/4” -9” they bit good till around 7 then they dispersed ! Maybe I out to get out their a lil earlier next time! Now that’s gave me the fever and got me wanting to go again which despite the heat I’m going to give it another try as soon I get freed up! Man nothing beats that THUMP!

Yes sir ! That is my favorite jig on a clear day ! They love it! I tried plastic that looked the same but they wouldn’t touch it so I switched back to it after about a 10 min experiment . You wouldn’t happen to know a fellow that could tie me up about 30 of those when he gets a chance would ya! :pray

Sounds like a nice evening to me, feeling that thump is what it is all about. Later in the summer when the fish get finicky it sometimes turns to a light tick, but it is still fun as long as they bite!

That poor jig looks like it has been well used missing paint and all. Happy fishing.
