No luck Duck

I got the boat out of storage, loaded up the Engels, couple rods and had my friend Don meet up with me at Duck lake near Springport. Mostly to try out the trolling motor, make sure everything worked ok.
I stopped at the bait shop/store and got bait in the Engel live bait cooler and snacks/beverages for the drybox/cooler.
The docks weren’t in yet and the water was like glass.... it just didn’t seem like ice should be gone this early in March.
Test and tune went great, everything worked as it should.....except the fish!
We tried minnows and plastics and still nothing would bite, we did see a nearby boat land a couple perch.
It felt good to be on the open water......better knowing everything is ready for another year on the water.

See, you did have more time to text me, and send me videos, etc.

Glad you had fun, but for a guy like me, it was sure cold out.

I was snug in the garage w/ heater running, getting my boat ready......

Still trying to decide if I want to rotate it for use just yet though.

I'm not sure if I just read a (no)fish report or watched a comercial for Engel, Case plastics and Busch Light. :Rofl Glad you got the boat out.

Well if it was a commercial it did its job!

I was just happy to get out and try out that TM after last year I was pretty bummed on our last trip it was toast.

Look at the picture with the AMERICAN Flag in the background, then zoom in to the lower corner of the windshield.....there is a black and white one Slab sent with my order of SLABSAUCE. Then you can’t see the other one but it is a yellow sticker on the transom Uncle Don gave me a few years ago.

Now if you’d like to send another, I just bought a new to me worktruck that is crappie.com delete at the moment.
