Snagging
We were fishing yesterday near a bridge and they were killing them off of the bridge, as we got closer the guys fishing and there were 11 of them they were using spoons and snagging the fish. I thought this was a no no. These were really good fish in the 2 lbs. range, you could see there 5 gal. buckets with the tails hanging out. The GW know about this place but I guess they are too busy to check it. This just makes me mad.Maybe I should not post this but I am anyway, what are yalls thoughts on this.

State law plainly states that a fowl hooked fish should be released immediately and snagging is illegal for crappies etc etc I would gather all the info possible and try to get it stopped get the GM personal phone number and give em a call . We have the same problems here on some of the docks and bridges with folks not obeying the law keeping double limits and lots of short fish Etc and regardless of how individuals feel for those Careless actions I’m doing my best to get it reported!

There's also a good chance they don't realize it's illegal. Next time, maybe say, "Hey, you guys know it's illegal to do that, right? You're going to get a ticket, if you aren't careful." Then, if you seem them doing it again, report them. Or report the activity anyway, so the game warden can keep an eye out.

i bet they were not overly concerned with size or numbers either. Maybe record them on cell phone and send to GW

Call the law, they are abusing a fine resource.

Game Wardens just caught a bunch cast netting them over here in GA. GW said it is also going on in AL and SC
I would call GW and let them know whats going on.

Call it in, They may not come then but, they will come. I hate snagging and law breakers!
-
The other thing I'd do is tell us what bridge they were on. We can all keep an eye out for them and alert the GW. Additionally, they may be some of them that are lurkers on here and once they hear that we are on them and the bridge they are using, they will stop. (Hopefully!!)

Those clowns need to get caught and all their gear and vehicles taken away like they do up north and in Alaska when you abuse their resource. Sad part is all those fish will NOT get eaten and many will just get pitched. Take pics of them and their vehicles and plates.

I agree, report it.
