I too carry. Would like to feel like carrying is not necessary.
Never leave home without my pistol, sometimes 2!! Can't even work in the yard now, without protection.
One of the main reasons I choose not to night fish those areas. I carry but hope to never be put in the situation to have to use it for something like that. It’s a sad world we live in now.

Sad to hear whenever stuff like this happens all too often nowadays. I have been convinced for a long time that you never know what you might run into... so I don't go anywhere without carrying... but likewise I hope I never have occasion to use it. My logic is however: I'd much rather have it and not need it... than need it and not have it. Be safe all.
Sad that is the way the world has turned into. Always some body looking to take what you have. Everybody needs to carry
