Silver lake
Crappie are biting! Just not on crappie jigs. Caught on a craw while bass fishing.
Fyi the green sunfish, (rockbass, warmouth, etc) are shallow and hungry. Find grass and rocks.
Water temp on arrival 77°, departure 84°. Clarity chocolate milk.

Up in the creek or on main lake?
-
Main lake. I've never fished much in the creek. Is it any good?
-
Not real sure iv never fished the creek but iv been to silver a few times and there is always a bunch of boats but I never see them on the main lake

Some like to jug fish in the creek. Supposedly theirs a few holes up their. Can't bring myself to run through the shallow water north of the chute to get in the creek.
FYI, if your north of the interstate, by an island, do NOT try to run between the island and what appears to be a point to the east. That was a peninsula. Good odds you'll bottom out. Theirs a few stumps their also. Watched a guy do it last week. That engine bounced real good!
I've asked for buoys to be put their. That was a year ago.

Thanks bc I don't know anything about that lake I tried going to the creek one time and it got real shallow so I turned around but that must be where the fish are bc everyone goes up there

If you have decent electronics, there's alot of "brushpiles" that people have sunk.
-
Went out this morning for a few hours and caught a few real nice ones and filled the livewell with big bluegill and 8 to 9" crappie I did real good off the points on the man lake and the dam

That's the problem with silver, alot of small crappie. Theirs bigger ones in their. Just have to weed through the little one's.
