Salina
Headed to Salina for a group function this coming weekend and the wife graced me with permission to hunt the slabs Saturday morning - hahaha. I have been to the Kanopolis spillway once and didn't have much luck. Any suggestions on where and what works well there (or in the surrounding area)? Thanks!

Salina
1/4 oz jig or road runner with white or chartreuse curly tail up in the frothy water below the rocks when it's running. Possibility for walleye, white bass, black bass, and/or crappie also mepps algia inline spinners have worked well there.

They are currently releasing 1500-2000 cfs. and with the lake 10' high I would guess that will continue for awhile.

Yikes. Fast waters are tough with 4lb line. Lol

Ottawa county state lake. Jigs or minnows.

Salina
Fish along the dam where they have brush piles or on the east side where the creek runs in and opens up into the lake. The jetties on the west side also produce pretty well.

Are the crappie still in the shallows there?

The deepest part of the lake is only 12'. That's along the dam where the brush piles are. I'm not sure if they still are or not. There are also saugeye if a guy wants to try for them. 4-6 fow is where I've always found the saugeye.

Excellent. Thanks for the info! I won't be keeping anything this time around, but hope to catch a good number. :)
