Biggest tourney of the year will this next weekend, doubt you will find much help out in the wide open in the forums.
My tip would be fish another lake ..not that they will be much better
To be honest I have not heard of a 3 lber coming out of Grenada yet, I'm sure there has been but I have heard of several coming out of Sardis.
PM me when you get down and I will steer you in what I think will be the right direction, at least give you an idea of what to look for.
I don't think Grenada Lake is the big crappie lake that it use to be a few years back. I think it has seen it's better days. It's just to much pressure on it, and the fish don't have time to grow before being caught, or flushed down the spillway with the draw downs.
In the spring time there is a tournament every weekend. This is imo...
Lot of pressure for sure. The sport is growing, more people enjoying it. That's good. Build a few more corp lakes and take some pressure off....Just a different approach to supply and demand.
We need to practice more catch and release instead of catch and the grease. Lots of people catch way more than they need just to take pictures of them and throw em in the freezer. And NO, I'm not against eating or keeping fish. If ya need em Eat em. If not, put em back.

Agreed Bill...It's the only way our sport will survive..
I love coming to Grenada to fish for the great crappie and have done so for about 15 years but I have only brought 1 fish home from there that I had mounted. We catch plenty of eating fish at home so no need to keep the ones over there for me. See yall next week.
